EA and Dice as usual are a bunch of absolute fucktards, they cant seem to do anything right at all... Ive just installed bad company 2 and I went to play it online, oh guess what it doesn't work, I cant log into any kind of server... Dopey bastards cant do anything...

Exactly, after several "connection lost" errors i plyed a litle bit, but all servers have ping 100 - 150 ms. thats unplayable for me. Its pain so far...

I have now tried installing it on a different machine altogether and even tried connecting via a different internet connection and it still doesnt work...
What the hell like. Ye cant even get through to someone to try and sort the problem out...

I used browser and tryed to connect to any server with lowest ping, after several times i finaly got connection  Did u made a update of the game? There is already first update...

In game dir is located autoupdate tool, its called "updateluncher.exe" or something like that, lunch it and it should execute update if necessary.

what directory are u looking in? Is it in game or is it in the game folders... If its in game where abouts in game do ye go?

It should be in X:/ Program Filles / Electronics Arts / Battelfield Bad Company 2 /
(depends on where u have the game installed)
This apply for retail version, not sure if it it is the same in steam version though.

Hmm, steam should update it itself.
U can try search computer for " BFBC2Updater.exe " though
Or it should be i believe in folder ... C:\Program Files \ Valve \ Steam \ SteamApps \ username \
